Background

The pandemic has been an unprecedented crisis that has called for direct response from across society. Glenmark Foundation was among the first to come forward to support the most vulnerable be it those in need or those at the frontline. Some of these initiatives included:
  • Pledged 50 lakh meals for the needy amidst COVID-19 pandemic
  • Providing essentials to migrants in Maharashtra through The Jeevan Rath Collaborative
  • Over 3,00,000 beneficiaries to be reached across Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat via tele-medicine by medical specialists. Support and appreciation for 50,000 law enforcement personnel across 12 Indian cities
  • Supply of much-in-demand PPE for the medical staff in Maharashtra
And many more across India and their locations across the world like Myanmar and the Philippines, Russia, U.S., Germany and U.K. Giving back to community has always been a priority for Glenmark. Even before the pandemic, Glenmark Foundation has been focused on malnutrition as a core issue with special attention to children in the age group of 0 to 6 years, pregnant and lactating women and more. Glenmark Foundation has adopted a 3600 approach to tackling malnutrition through various programs and interventions. The Glenmark Nutrition Awards is yet another attempt to strengthen the eco-system, specifically the non-profit sector to fight the scourge of hunger and support healthy mothers and children.

Details

The winners will be announced at the RISE World Summit 2021 in January at a virtual Grand Finale graced by eminent personalities and special guests.

Category: Urban/ Rural/ Open (non-NGO’s)
Location: Pan India
Target Beneficiaries: Vulnerable groups, Frontline workers, Daily-wage/Migrant workers, Women and Children.
Time Period: March 2020-Dec 2020
Award: Rs. 1 Lakh Cash prize for Winner from each category.
