Rise World Summit 2021

Beyond an UNConference, The RISE World Summit 2021 is a very unique platform with no panels or presentations. Into its 8th edition, it will be held from 28-29th January 2021 with a very distinctive concept of a Relay Conference across timezones, starting with Japan (Land of the RISING Sun – very apt for us) and end in the Americas. It is being planned as a virtual convergence with the Lewis Institute and Babson Innovation Lab,USA (ranked as #1 in Entrepreneurship for Undergraduates) as our Academic Partner this year.
The Theme – “Beyond Boundaries, Search UNITY, Find OpportUNITY “ will be based on the backdrop of the pandemic with the aim to search for interventions and innovations that will truly make this the Decade of Action to achieve the SDGs through 3 tracks: United to Reform that calls for everyone to work towards the Global goals SDG Action  & Acceleration to focus on specific issues and understanding the linkages among the SDGs Decade of Evaluation for Action to integrate Monitoring and Evaluation into development design for efficiency and effectiveness.
Values drive people and organisations to action and so create shared-value.  The RISE World Summit is based on the universal RISE Values – “Responsible, Inclusive, Sustainable and Eco-friendly” that brings together the 4 key stakeholder groups – Government, Corporate, NGOs and Academia to “Connect, Communicate and Collaborate”. Together, we multiply impact. The Summit is spearheaded by the Steering Council members that includes
Anna Lekvall, Consul General – Sweden Consulate in Mumbai, Rajeshwari Chandrasekar, Chief of Office, UNICEF – Maharashtra, Harada Michio, Consul General – Japan Consulate in Mumbai, Prof. N. Vinod Chandra Menon – Founder Member, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India and Vineet Patni, Former President of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance and Cheryl Y. Kiser – Executive Director, The Lewis Institute and Babson Social Innovation Lab, USA.
Over 30 partners, Core Committee members, working groups, Subject Matter Experts and volunteers contribute to making the Summit outcome driven for post event collaborations and alliances, knowledge assets and more.
